Taking stop-smoking medications such as Zyban, NRT (nicotine replacement therapy) or Champix? Perfectly ok, in fact I recommend you consider reading the report on the use of these medications by the Canadian Lung Association. They each affect people differently, so it is essential to discuss their efficacy versus their risks with your medical health professional before you decide which is right for you. 

Hypnosis treatments will help your subconscious mind show your conscious mind just how destructive smoking is on your health. There will be really no option but to close the door to that dark chapter of your life, and open the door to a healthy lifestyle.

*Like any person with an addiction, smokers need a strong incentive to attend each session. Here are some statistics from my years of treating smokers:

  1. Smokers who book without pre-paying, don't attend.  
  2. Smokers who can cancel and re-book without penalty, will cancel and won't attend.
  3. Smokers who have a refund "out" will continue to smoke and ask for the refund.

Sessions are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled and re-booked. Carefully consider this before committing to the program.

The first session will bring your subconscious mind into the future and show the negative effects that continuing to smoke will have on your future enjoyment of life, family and friends. If you have children, you will see how you subliminally say to them, "its OK, learn to smoke, I enjoy them more than my health." There is an 80% chance all or one of your children will smoke because of this message. The same percentage is used with children of parents who have a alcohol/drug addiction.

Session 1 - Stop Smoking

During the first session, you and I make a list of all of the disgusting things about smoking, and a list of all the people in your life that are important to you (people you want to live long enough to enjoy), and a list of all the recreational and lifestyle things you will do as a non-smoker. You probably have friends or coworkers who smoke,  you support their addiction, why would they want you to quit??  (if you don't want to change anything besides quitting then hypnosis will NOT work, there are friends that smoke ....destructive habits need to be replaced with good healthy habits).

I will also give you meditation and mindfulness instruction - no, you do not need to stare at a candle or chant mantras, but you will sit on a meditation cushion and learn breathing practices that are centuries old. Thirty cigarettes a day at 5 minutes a cigarette equals 150 minutes of deep breathing...meditation. Yes, you are a meditator! Now you need to learn to meditate without the use of a cigarette...or your body will crave that quiet time 30 times a day. 

Now that we have our list, and you have done your first sitting meditation, I use hypnosis to help you see the destructive path, and the healthy path, and all of the good reasons you have to quit. 

This is when you really need to "let go" and allow your subconscious mind to "experience" the bad and good futures. Hypnosis is a deep visualization experience; you don't go "to sleep, or blank out", your subconscious mind will see both futures, you choose which path you want to take from this moment on. 

At the end of the session you will feel a little light-headed and very very relaxed. You may have not felt this relaxed in a long time.

You are in control:

If your subconscious mind wants to keep you on the destructive path, well ....there is nothing hypnosis can do. Hypnosis is the best method to help your subconscious mind see alternate futures. 

Session 2 (same week)

You are already taking time to breathe in fresh air, coughing a little more, which is your body's natural method to clean out the years of tar that have settled into your lungs. You also realize that the meditative breathing technique you learned in the first session, helps you settle into a deeply relaxed state whenever you are stressed. You are feeling less stressful since you have decided to quit and are meditating.

Your noticing the "stale smoke vapour" that follows smokers. You even try to move out of their path to avoid the stench. Their lungs are so foul their exhalation stinks. You notice a couple smoking in their car, and their pet dog is riding in a lap....pity the dog. It will probably die of some mysterious disease like cancer, while the couple wonders how that could have happened. 

You are meditating and getting out in the fresh air to exercise more; the feeling of "hard" lungs is beginning to subside. You know that pink lung tissue is returning in the upper parts of your lungs.

Session 3 (week 2)

You return for reinforcement hypnosis but you know you will stay on the path of a non-smoker for all the good reasons why you decided to take this bright path. I can instruct you on relaxation techniques such as walking and sitting meditation/reflection, insight breathing, a powerful form of breathing that projects you into the matrix of your life. We can discuss how body energies are affected by smoking, and how chakra balancing keeps your body and mind balanced and 'in tune' so that you can roll more easily with all of life's circumstances. Yoga and pilates are just two more ways to keep your body and mind alert and fit.

Session 4 (later week 2)

Relaxation techniques such as walking and sitting meditation/reflection, insight breathing, a powerful form of breathing that projects you into the matrix of your life. We can discuss how body energies are affected by smoking, and how chakra balancing keeps your body and mind balanced and 'in tune' so that you can roll more easily with all of life's circumstances. Yoga and pilates are just two more ways to keep your body and mind alert and fit.
